Watch Our New Video: 2 Months of Occupy in Action

Yesterday, Occupy flooded the news everywhere.

As you know, Nov. 17 was a nationwide Day of Action in recognition of the urgent need for good American jobs and the two-month anniversary of Occupy Wall Street.

CNN had nonstop coverage, newspapers paid attention, and the Twitter hashtag #N17 kept people united and informed about events across the country.

I joined hundreds of protesters on Key Bridge in D.C., including Occupy D.C. participants, union members, community groups and other allies. The event was peaceful, but participants were less than optimistic about the state of our economy.

Our elected representatives have the power and opportunity to put Americans back to work. Across the U.S., ordinary people are demanding investments in good jobs and programs that help the middle class instead of handouts to CEOs and the richest few.

Yesterday we were heard loud and clear. We need to keep this momentum going and continue to demand that our elected leaders put our families before corporate greed and Wall Street profits.

In solidarity,
